Resumen

The following commentary on a little-known Nahuatl text of the  early seventeenth century is divided into two parts, each reflecting the differing backgrounds and interests of the authors. The first part places the piece in the context of the Nahuatl corpus associated with the church and was done by Sell. The second touches on the very important question of its European antecedents and contemporary counterparts and was written by Taylor.
