Resumen

Sahaguntine studies have long been handicapped by availability only of inaccurate publication or by unpublished texts of the magisterial Historia General (Universal) missing from such publications. Neither the Spanish text of the Florentine Codex, nor of the slightly variant Tolosano manuscript has been published directIy in full. Defective hand copies of the Tolosano, basis of nearIy all publications of the Spanish text, not only contain errors made by copyists, editors, and printers, but they are apparently incomplete.
